Roti Canai Kayu Arang

As usual, i will look for a local breakfast place, so yeah! Roti Canai Kayu Arang and if i were to translate, it is the charcoal grilled bread? 😁

The stall has now become a POI for visitors. The locals normally do not come on the weekends, as it will be full with the outsiders.

The stall sells, roti canai/ grilled bread, nasi lemak (rice with coconut milk), lontong (rice cake with coconut milk and vege), and kuih.

nasi lemak with Squid Sambal

This is lontong.

Chicken & beef satay!

What makes it special, the roti canai are grilled using charcoal instead of most people using the normal gas stove.

The price as usual, is alot cheaper than other place. One of the staff or probably the owner of the stall is known as Kak Ayu who is so funny and friendly with the customers, that makes us feel more welcomed.

Visit Roti Canai Kayu Arang in Kampung Bakar Batu Mukim, Balai Panjang.

Jonker Walk Night Market Discovery

I visited the night market, which happeningly open until midnight on the weekends.

There are hundreds of retailers selling all sorts of stuffs from food, toys, bags, fruits, souvenirs, accessories.

Well, you will see most of my pictures are on toys and food, as these are i enjoy the most. ;)

Bought 1 carbon Beetle and creme Vespa miniature at rm35 and rm25 respectively.

This is Lego cartoon character miniature.
Quite expensive tho, price depending on the size, ranging from rm19 the smallest to rm89 i guess.

These are wired robots! Handmade must be!

Hahaha... These are not plants ok! It has become a new fashion in Korea whereby people are using these hair clips! So, you gonna have walking plant on your head baby! Some are selling 3 for rm10. But others are selling at rm2 each. Check it out!

✌🏻️
Well, you cant get away from delicious and variety of food in pasar malam/ night market right?

So, here is our appetizer! Hot onde onde Melaka, freshly steamed. Selling at rm2 for 5 balls.

Next, lets explore whats available for dinner. There is rows of food stalls, what you need to do is just, pick and choose. Have it until your tummy cries!

Refreshing Nyonya Assam Laksa. The best in town!

Nah! Nyonya Curry Laksa. Really filling my empty tummy. Not too spicy, just nice with savoury curry taste.

Fong Sushi sells Street Sushi. 😂 but it tastes just as good as Sushi King. Don't trust  me? Give it a try!

This set cost you only RM20.

And this, boiled clam. The sauce is good! Rm10 per small plate. You can buy it from Stall 89.

This stall also serves Baked Oyster Cheese.

I didnt get the chance to try this. My tummy cried loud enough, and i have to stop all the food mess!

Tank probably too small to enjoy all these. Walk back to your car, or guest house will be best exercise after fully loaded. 😂

But honestly speaking, while writing this entry, my tummy is starving to have those again. 😭

Layang-Layang Guest House

If you are coming as back packer, or looking for B&B, i stronly recommend Layang-Layang Guest House.

Located at Jln Tukang Besi, near Jonker Walk, a walking distance to Hard Rock Cafe.

The guest house has 20 rooms for 1-4 person. However, these comes with 4 shared bathrooms for each floor. It also has 1 suite room with attached bathroom.

The price is reasonable, ranging from rm80-rm100 plus, with optional free towel, free flow coffee & tea at the pantry, shared refrigerator and washing machine.

Here is the living area where you can hang out with your friends for playing cards, board games and musical instrument provided i.e guitar, piano and ang klung.

Going inside,

you will find kinda Bali style fountain/fish pond with comfortable stools and side tables for coffee and chit chat.

Nah! Here's the shared bathroom area.

But one thing I must tell you, this place is very very clean. No dust. No shoe prints eventho it was raining.

Kg Morten - Kg Warisan

Welcome to Kg Morten! A small village located by the Malacca Riverside. All are old wooden, well taken care of Rumah Warisan Melaka.

A house with "Limas" design.

The green house, is belonged to the founder of Kg Morten, Datuk Haji Hashim.

These houses are opened for visitors.

According to history, men in the village worked as small boatman, while the women sew nipah leaves.

Take a boat ride to enjoy the night view and lighting. Well, Malacca Government are paying for the electricity bill for the whole village.
